Have flown with aa before and wouldn't encourage traveling with them. They over book every flight. We booked into Chicargo airport to find that only our 4year old had actually got a seat on the plane! The rest of the family had to wait to see if customers excepted money not to fly so we could have there seats! Spoilt what had been a lovely holiday....

    Ouch

Obviously we speak as we find and in my experience with them I've never had a problem at all - having taken quite several multi city flights with them.

Mabye I've been very lucky and you've been very unlucky.

This is common with all carriers, every airline overbooks seats.
I think its unfair to say that AA overbook every flight though, because that's not true.

And even if you had been denied boarding, AA HAVE to compensate you, and from experience, a transatlantic flight like that has got me a hotel room for the night, albiet at the airport, an evening meal, phonecard, £450 and business class flight home.
    Certainly can't be moaned at!!
