money changing question(s)

I'm in Holland quite a lot (boyfriend is there and I'll soon be moving there) and I was wondering what might be the cheapest way to change money to Euros???
At the moment when we visit each other, whoever is in their own country pays for everything (to avoid money changing altogether).
But a few one-off things have come up lately that I'd like to pay for myself (work-related) in Holland and I'd like to have my own Euros!
Some options could be to change money over here, get it out of a cashpoint over there, transfer money to his account - I've really no idea of what would be cheapest.
Also in case anyone knows.... - we have been discussing the possibility that as he has quite a bit of savings that he pays off my credit card debt - but I have no idea of how much it would cost to transfer Euros to my account over here, and if it would really be worth it??

You should get yourself a Nationwide flex account and perhaps also a credit card. The cashcard with the flex account gives you access to your money from machines in Holland, and you pay nothing for the money-changing. And thier visa card allows you to buy things there at a very favourable exchange rate with no fees or anything.0
