Thinking of splitting with my partner...

Hi.
Could you advise me please.
I am thinking of moving out of home and taking a step back and restarting my life. My curent relationship is definately not working out and to be honest i have had enough of it. Therefore it means a step back to the parents house and starting again.
I am currently claiming JSA but only for the NI stamp. I am able to claim a monetiry payment as of Jan this year but have been told i have to close my claim down for three months then re-apply to start receiving it. As it stands i can't do this because i am claiming insurances for a loan etc.
If i move out, i will move to another area, would this mean that because my circumstances have changed i could claim for a payment without having to close down my current claim for three months or will i have to still do it.

Are you claiming for your stamp because you're only eligible for means tested JSA and your partner earns too much?0

Hi.
The reason i am claiming just for my stamp is because i did not pay enough NI creditls within the 06-07 & 07-08 tax years. I can now apparently claim but would have to close my current claim down and open a new one after three months. However even if i did do that i could only have claimed for six months as she earns over 20k.
If i move areas will i still have to close my claim for three months to get a payment or can i transfer it and start receiving payments without having to wait the three months.0 -
No, if you split with your partner and move back in with your parents then you should be eligible to claim income based JSA (which isn't dependent on NI conts). you can declare the changes in your circumstances and apply to change to income based on the one form, you don't have to wait three months or make a new claim. your claim could be affected by savings or income (e.g. an Income Protection Policy) and you will probably be asked to provide some info about the seperation.0
