What will the banks except?
Could you not go to your departments administration section and get them to whip up a letter confirming you are a student?

the new year doesnt start til 18th ish of sept, so until that week i cant get anything from my uni
the bank wants an acceptance letter - but i'm going into second year so thats kinda void as i could be pulling a fast one in their eyes.
and the other thing is the loan agreement.
i should have that in the next few weeks so i may as well just wait for that.
my pc will be paid off by the time i get this new account sorted.
i may call the bank later an see if there's anything else i can do or if i can provide anything over the phone that might help...
thanks guys0 -

Check it out! Interest free overdraft of £2,750 every year - how handy would that be!!

yeah i was looking into that but i was reluctant to get an overdraft in the first place and only wanted it to clear certain debts an i think 1,500 would be enough
i'm still scared about having that much too be honest but its with the bank i'm already with (who i'm happy with and dont wanna switch)0 -
got a letter from barclays this morning saying they are offering me £96 as a good will gesture out of the £250 they actually owe me
yeah right,
thats a full months loan payment, i want it all0 -
i dont seem to be havning much luck with student accounts so against my best intentions i'v decided to clear a few debts with my savings.
with using half of it for my credit card and the rest to clear my car and pc i will be better off by about £150 a month.
i figured that if the worst should happen i will have to reluctantly re-use my credit card should i lose my job, instead of using the grand i had saved.
this would only be until i can start building the savings up again though.
i'm still iffy about doing it but it means i'm not going to be as broke as i always seem to be. i can save a little more for xmas, and i can easily get my other interest free card down by dec/jan
then its just a matter of paying say an extra 50-100 a month towards my loan.
hopefully my debts should be dropping drastically if i do this.
wish me luck guys (that i dont get made redundent or anything that is)
pray to the job fairies/gods for me
