I agree. Selling fake items is against the law.
The thing that bothers me most was the fact that I bought cosmetics. I shudder to think how and what they were made with. These products are not just cheap, they're dangerous. I've sold brand new cosmetics on ebay as I do a lot of shopping and you can't always return these things. Forgot how dishonest some ebayers are

I'd guess they bought some fake mac/clinique/whatever bottles, bought a big joblot of say collection 2000 loose eyeshadows (idk if they do loose, just thats 1 ive seen a lot of stuff sold on ebay!), and pour the cheap stuff into the expensive looking bottles. Tada, the eyeshadow you bought for 50p is now worth about £10.
My point is simply that it's probably perfectly safe, just a lot cheaper make.0 -

And for the stuff that isn't safe? You have no idea of the content of some of the stuff which is stopped from getting onto the market in the UK through the work of enforcement agencies.
I certainly wouldn't let my wife or daughter buy any of the carp on eBay.0 -
