Latest teeth whitening experience

I spotted this ad on the the web about a single mum combining two teeth cleaning kits. Thought this would be okay and sent off for the free samples. Although different names, (Teeth White Max & Life Cleanse) I know now they are the same US company, but also based in the in the UK. Cannot say if this is a true scam but make sure you read the terms and conditions. I did not and when I checked my credit card statement yesterday I got a complete shock. If you do not cancel within 14 days you are signing up for the registration fee of £76.69, which in my case was twice. Althought technically I guess it was my own fault I am still recovering from losing £153.28. My only consolation is that I am not the only one according to my credit card company and upon their advice I cancelled my subscriptions very rapidly. This is the first time I have ever got caught and it will definately be the last.

Hello Hennypenny
Am so sorry to hear about this experience and those ads are so tempting. They just sound as if they are going to be cheap and easy. There are a number of posts about this on MSE and from others experience with this Company I now do a search on any new company or brand I'm thinking of buying from.
I really hope that this Company get banned from the various websites that they appear on, because that's part of the problem. They are ubiquitous and that gives you confidence.
Thanks for posting your experience, and I'm sorry that you lost so much money.
Did the process work, however?
Thanks

just to let you all know I have bought teeth whitening strips made by Crest which have worked fine for me, although hurt a little at first.
The UK office I bought from was jgfowlers.co.uk they came after 2 days so not bad service
then again, I have never bought any other kind of teeth whitening products
:spam: it's against the forum rules to promote your own website, and rather unethical to pose as a customer, when you run that website, michael.
http://whois.domaintools.com/jgfowlers.co.uk (then click whois record)
that does nothing good for your company's reputation.0 -
