rubber crumb tile?? can anyone help

i recently had to purchase a coir mat online for my matwell which is an awkward shape and depth. as the coir mat is only 17mm deep i was advised to get a rubber crumb tile to put underneath to make up the difference in the depth, but i have no idea what this is and neither does B&Q or homebase. anyone know what it is or where i can buy it?? thanks in advance

could you not just get an off cut of flotex, it's easily cut to shape, or check out the charity shops, they sometimes have carpet samples.

I would think you would be ok using anything to raise the height - underlay, a bit of hardboard or ply etc etc. If the coir mat has a rubber backing you won't even need anything waterproof.

I think rubber crumb tile is the stuff used outdoors, in playparks and the like.

Ebay has individual 50 x 50 tiles which interlock, search for rubber tile.
