hi everyone, hope someone can help me as i dont really what to do now
i have shoulder length dyed brown hair, i was growing out my colour so had light brown roots of approx 1 1/2 cm. I bought a loreal volumising hair mousse and used it that week, i folloed the instructions which said use two to three balls of mousse mainly on the roots and then blow dry. As soon as i put the mousse on my hair, my roots, the natural regrowth turned grey/white, it ried rinsing my hair but it didnt change so i left it because i was going out so just thought it was a build up of too much product
the next day i washed my hair and the roots were still grey, i left it for a few days and washed it again and there was no change
I tried emailing loreal with pictures from my hotmail email and it was coming straight back as failed so i phoned loreal and spoke to a girl who told me to send them the bottle so they can analyse it and possibly wash my hair again with a cleansing shampoo to make sure it wasnt product build up (i didnt do this because the cleansing shampoo would of made the rest of my coloured hair go patchy making it worse) anyhoo.. i confirmed the email address with her and tried to re send the email from my yahoo account and today it came back failed
i decided tonight to f*ck it an cut my losses and dye it because i had a party to go to tomorrow, i used nice and easy perfect ten which states covers even the most stubborn greys (or to that effect) the roots have picked up a tiny bit of colour and turned yellow ish leaving me with yellow roots and brown hair, i look like a hot cross bun!!!
well my point is where do i stand now??? how do i get my emails to loreal??? will they not just think i originally did it with the hair dye and am trying to blame them???? what do i do next to my hair?????? any help at all please!!

Go to a proper hairdresser.0

OP did you do a strand test first (with the hair colour that is?)0

hiya chick, not much help but for the time being tie your hair up to cover your regrowth.
dont do any more home colouring- you will run the risk of damaging new hair growth.
avoid heat treamtnets too-no hair straightening.
make an appointment with a hairdresser for a consultation-wont cost you anything and they will advise you what to do. hopefully they can transform your hair so that you love it and no more hot cross bun look.0 -
The roots problem does sound like product build up. Also, if your roots are light brown they may well look grey against the darker brown, and any build up will only emphasise this. My hair is naturally a dark blonde but dyed a reddish brown, and when I first got regrowth I really did think I was going grey.
Could you post the pictures here?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Maybe you are naturally grey and forgot as you've been colouring it for so long and the mousse just removed your fake colouring showing you in all your natural glory0
