    directgov isn't for NI government.

    Much of the information on the CAB page you linked to applies to England & Wales rather than NI. My guess is that whoever wrote it copied and pasted from the info for E&W, then made a couple of minor edits.

    I waited 9 months for my first test six years ago !

    I have it in my head that their have to be 2 weeks in-between a failed test and the retake. Although I don't have any evidence of that. Your driving instructor should know though?
