Hi,
Ive been trying to rent a room in my 2 bedroom flat for a few months now. Ive been using the Findaroommate.co.uk website with mixed results. Ive had a few viewings and a few interested emails but nothing too regular. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good website for doing this? I dont mind paying a bit providing I get genuine interest. Any advice, or indeed any tips about other means of advertising the room would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

If you have had a few viewings and enquiries but nothing from them, have you had a think about what might be putting them off?
I would ring your viewers and ask them for feedback.
Advertising wise - try putting adverts in the windows at your local shops. If you have a uni/college near by that might also be an option.. not all students want to live in digs or communal houses.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Have you tried Loot? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I know some people don't like to use it but I use gumtree.
I would also suggest every time you have a viewing make sure the house is spotlessy clean and keep clutter to the minimum.0 -
I would highly recommend spareroom.co.uk, I've been using it for over 2 years, pay for the early bird and bold advertising and advertise the room well with lots of pictures and I'm sure you'll find someone very quickly! I usually find someone within a month and I rent out on short term lets (avg 3 months).2009 Wins so far: 6 month supply of special K, Super Glue, Pushing Dasies Season 2 DVD, Sonisphere Tickets, Gold iPod, Fourth Plinth Winner 8th Oct 6-7pm, £100 Tesco Vouchers, Star-Ship Troopers on Blu-Ray (no player yet!), another iPod TouchFirst win Friday 13th - who said it was unlucky?0
