some kind soul of an ex employee passed on my home ex directory telephone number to a rather nasty creditor of my limited company
police wont do anything telephone company can change my number mobile from where they were calling nothing
besides unplugging the phone any ideas !!
plus now i know the mobile phone company i'm moving to another supplier

Dont completely follow - but if you mean your land line - why dont you have withheld numbers refused? Do you have a screen giving you the incoming number so you can end the call without having to answer?0

Police have been a joke unless he comes round & makes threats pc plod wont do anything! well not down our way even though its a ltd company & ex directory telephone number!!0

Owain Moneysaver has a good point:The Administration of Justice Act 1970 S.40 makes it a Criminal Offence for a creditor or a creditor's agent (often a debt collection agency) to make demands (for money), which are aimed at causing 'alarm, distress or humiliation, because of their frequency or publicity or manner'.

Change your number or get "Choose to Refuse" from BT, assuming you use BT. Limitations of Choose to Refuse are that they just call from another number.
I would change your number.0
