Would a savings account with Natwest boost my RBS internal rating?

Hi people, I currently have an RBS Student account and a savings account with BoS. I'm trying to make sure my internal score with RBS is as good as possible as I'm wanting to take out a student credit card so I can buy a laptop and get some extra protection on the purchase. The initial credit limit on the card is £500, but it can be increased if your credit score is good enough, and it'd need to be higher if I'm going to buy a laptop.
RBS has pretty poor savings rates at the moment but Natwest's aren't too bad, so I'm wondering if I move my savings to Natwest then will that boost my RBS internal credit score?
Thanks
