Loft Insulation Question

Hi all,
My parents are getting there loft insulation done in the next few weeks and we have just empty the loft over the last few days ready.
My question is in the loft its nearly covered with basic loft flooring and my question is can we leave that in and then they lay the insulation over it as its going to be to much hassle to remove the boards to be honest. They dont plan to put anything back in the roof

Yes.
It will make the new insulation marginally less effective unless there is insulation under the boards. I would just lay it over the boards.0 -
There is some real old stuff allready under the boards
