I thought I'd just update this, as it's 6 months down the line.
I updated to Ubuntu 10.04.1 (Lucid Lynx) when it first came out and I'm still a Very Happy Bunny.
Every time I have to work with a Windows PC I'm frustrated by just how slow and clunky they are compared to my Wonderful World of Linux.
I did have problems with various wireless broadband dongles, but these days just plugging them in and leaving them alone for a couple of minutes seems to do the trick - eventually they just connect and just work.
I'm steadily working my way through my friends and relations, installing Ubuntu on their PC's and Laptops - most are amazed at just how easy it is to use and how much better their computers work.
And of course - it's all FREE !
Do it Folks - you know it makes sense.Gus.0
