Holiday Autos have a Ford Ka at £81, and a Ford Fiesta with A/C (recommended) at £83 for your dates/timings. If you decide to book with them, just check there are no 'unsocial hours' charges to add for your 22:00 pick up/drop off.
However, I'd recommend the damage excess waiver at £2.50/day which brings the A/C model up to £100.50
I've hired twice with Holiday Autos in Tenerife (in 2004 and 2005), but from 'downtown PDLA' and they used Hertz. I can't fault either Holiday Autos or Hertz.
You might also want to try carjet.com. I understand they're quite cheap and there are no 'extras' to pay for.0 -
thank you......... if you dont pay the waiver...do they want a deposit?
car jet looks good...0 -
Have you got any Tesco clubcard coupons? These are worth 4 times as much against Avis car hire. We paid for holiday car hire in Tenerife this way earlier in the year...0

If you have an accident whilst in Tenerife, the hirer (eg Hertz) will take the amount of the excess (as detailed in Spanish on the form you sign at the airport, at the head of a very long queue, whilst your kids or others' kids are screaming, after a long day followed by a 4.25 hour evening flight!! - get the picture?) to your card.darren7 wrote:if you dont pay the waiver...do they want a deposit?
Paying the £2.50 per day to Holiday Autos means that, in the event of an accident (and providing the damage isn't only to the roof, underside etc, ie you haven't been negligent or willfully damaged the vehicle), although the excess is charged to your card in resort - Holiday Autos will refund this amount to your card on your return to the UK.
If it all goes pear-shaped, I'd much rather argue in English on my return, than try to converse in Spanish whilst I'm there.
It's all explained in the small print.

Ok Ive gone with carjet, they seem the best deal........
Thank you0 -
Darren7, You might want to try https://www.doyouspain.com, they are a broker and can do a Renault Clio 5 door with A/C for 145.95 euros all inclusive, you just have to pay for the petrol up front as they fill the tank up. Just take the car back with the least amount of petrol that you can as you don't get any credit for unused fuel. All the cars are normally less than 6 months old and if they can't supply the car that you booked when you arrive they upgrade at no extra charge. When I recently hired from them in Spain they were the cheapest.0
