Missing Cheque

I posted a cheque to my goddaughter for her 18th Birthday over a month ago. She has never received it. I want to cancel it and reissue it. Does anyone know if I will have to pay to cancel the lost cheque - I'm with Royal Bank of Scotland.

Aslong as you have a standard or better current account, I think with most banks it is free to cancel a cheque in the circumstances that you have described above.

Although if it were a basic bank account, I think some may charge depending on the reason for cancellation.

But im sure someone who is with RBS and knows for sure will be along soon to either confirm or deny what I said.
