V5 form received but wrong name?

My partner bought a car from someone a couple of weeks ago, the V5 form just turned up and they have put the name down as Sined and not Simon.

Now my partner wouldn't have got his name wrong so think it could have been the one he bought it from.

What can be done? and would it cost my partner to rectify if it wasn't his fault?

This happened to me with my new car I bought last week. The car dealership had registered the car for me and put me down as Mrs instead of Miss.

It may just be a typing error. All your OH will have to do is put his correct name on it and send it back to the DVLA and they will send you a new one with the correct details on it. It does not cost anything to change the details. All the information is in the booklet you should have recieved withe the V5 form.

Just dont go adding them as another owner like so many do!
