Hi all, I really need your advice
I purchased a load of bits from a local PC store back in Dec 08, one item of which was a motherboard.
In Sept 09 the machine became faulty, the same store confirmed the motherboard was at fault and after 6 weeks, replaced it foc (Oct 09)
The machine has now developed the same fault again and the same shop has confirmed the second mother board is faulty after 5 months.
They have just told me that the warranty only exists on the purchase of the first motherboard (Dec 08) and that no warranty or guarantee exists with the replacement board they gave me 5 months ago.
So I have to pay for another motherboard
Is this right, if so I feel I have been cheated, they have provided me with a new part thats not guaranteed, surely this cannot be right
Thanks in advance

No, they provided you with a replacement part which lasted long enough to fulfill their obligations under their warranty (guarantee).
But with the Sale of Goods Act, a product must be durable. I would imagine it would be considered reasonable to expect a motherboard to last longer than 15 months.0
