Didn't want to read and run, just offering supoort for what must be a really trying time. All I can say is don't listen to your husband, he has no clue about the legalities of being a parent, or if he does he is disregarding them abominably. Go see a professional, even if this does somehow all clear up you will be better off in case it happens again...Emergency savings: 4600

Right i can't get this quote thing to work so yes i meant husband as in we were legally married in a registry office 8 years ago. I am named on the mortgage because we get child tax credits which are paid in my name into our joint account and without them he could never have got the mortgage in the first place, as he doesn't earn enough on his own without the tax credits. And no Ivrytwr3 i haven't been doing the dirty on him.0

Is the above what people call liar loans I did not think you could take any benefits into account?
You have three young children and times are tough and he is asking for you to leave. :mad:0 -
The welfare of the children is of paramount importance. Did he tell you to leave with them in a moment of temper (when we all say things we don't mean) or is he serious ? Find some time when he is in a good mood -if possible- and ask him what he wants, does he want to sort out your finances etc. with the possibility of you working ? Sounds like he is stressed and maybe taking it out on you as you are an easy target. Only you can know the answer to these questions. Most marriages go through difficult times but if he meant what he said then kick him out and you stay where you are with the children. Hope things work out for you.0

You used to be able to get mortgages that took into account child tax credits. Im not sure if they are still about anymore.
When we took out a mortgage in 2007 they asked if we were in receipt of tax credits when going through the income checks.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0
