She also used to buy Cremola custard, that was quite nice a lot thicker than birds, not seen any for years though. anyone remember that?

Hi Mothership, I remember Cremola custard and also Cremola rice, which I think was probably a mixture of their custard powder and ground rice. My Mum used to make it so thick that your spoon would stand up in it - but I loved it, especially on a cold winter day. Same as you, haven't seen it for donkeys years. In fact I was surprised to see that Cremola was still in business.

Yes I remember that too. I loved the thickness of the custard. I still look for it when I'm looking for custard. I find the Birds one a bit watery no matter how much you use, it never seems to thicken. The Cremola one would set solid LOL! Aaaah memories.

There is a wee sweetie shop in Alloa that sell Kramola Fizz(cremola foam is a copy right)
, which is made by a guy called Alan K McCandlish from Dunbarton(seemingly took him 9 years to get the recipe right:T) wee tubs are about £2.50, and large £4.50?
Google him and you should get his address phone number but no web site?
Rasberry tastes nice but I did not like the orange and still have two wee tubs in my cupboard( both smell like they did way back:p I will get the name of the sweetie shop in Alloa posted tomorrow, its a quirky wee place well worth a once in a life time visit and they sell sweetie tabacco and keep toy cars (Dinky kind )in the Fridge!!!

I passed by here the other day but didn't have time to go in. I'll go in next time as I do love a good wee packed out sweetie shop!
The stand in Callander Sq in Falkirk used to be really good but there never seems to be much choice there now and the other one in the Cow Wynd in Falkirk is just empty and overpriced IMO

There's a shop in Shawlands, Glasgow that sells this stuff, I think it's called Candylicious or something like that, I bought the orange and raspberry stuff, it's quite nice, but I can't remember how it compares to the real stuff.

    Hi,
I've bought from that shop as well, i've tried the lemon one & it was nice, not as good as my memory of the original creamola foam.
Was telling teenage son all about this, burst a gut one day running up @ lunchtime to get him some, bought him some raspberry & did he like it NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It works out expensive for the small portion in this shop was about £1.50 for 50g & when we had this @ work it only made 3 drinks.
Someone else @ work says 1 of the supermarkets local to me sells the original, but I've not seen it when I've been trailing round doing my shopping.
This 1 is called All Kramola Fizz Raspberry Flavoured Drink Crystals.
    Contains lots of E numbers.
  • Do you remember the song to go with it? Creamola Foam ,foams and fizzes , fizzes and foams, loved the reaspberry,
