the new pc only has dvd writer and a dvd rom
I have the bios bootup sequence to read from cd first, then floppy then hard disk.
the bios doesnt have a choice to change the cd to dvd

I don't have a cd-rom drive either, only a combo dvd drive.
Setting my pc to boot from the cd drive in the bios works fine for me.0 -
Have you tried the disks in both drives? Are the windows disks legit, or copies?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

DVD Drives will read CD's, so as long as the BIOS is set to boot from CD you should have no problems.. Good Luck:beer: Keep your Chin up.. it can only get better
