Hastings Direct Fuel Voucher Offer

I took out my Insurance with Hastings Direct on 23rd September 2009, and was told that I would receive £30 of fuel vouchers within two months.

It is now nearly six months and despite four phone calls, one letter and three e-mails there is still no sign of them!!

Has anyone on the forum actually received vouchers from this offer?

Yeah, got them a few months ago through the post. My next fill up in april will be my third month so I can send them off at that point. Think mine expire end of April so only just used them in time

How long did you have to wait from the time of taking out your Insurance before you received the vouchers?

    Hi

There's a thread about this on the insurance forum. There are quite a few people on there haven't to them (including me ). I'm calling up the financial ombudsman this afternoon about it, I'll see if that does any good.

Thanks for your response Gwen, and I will certainly be interested to hear outcome.

Sorry if I posted on wrong thread.
  • I got a letter from them this week telling me that they were working through the back log and my vouchers would be with me shortly - I took out my insurance in January.

    Thanks Chalkie.

I am amazed that you received a letter from Hastings - they have made NO RESPONSE at all to my letter or e-mails.

On a slightly different matter, when I took out my policy in June, I didn't get my MOT voucher from them either (not that I was hugely bothered as it was for a national chain which would have tried to inflate the repairs needed anyway.) However after having an accident before Christmas, I'm still waiting for a settlement offer for my written off car lol. I shan't hold my breath!

Insurance was August, I think the vouchers probably came Nov/Dec if I remember correctly. I'd actually forgotten they were part of the deal originally as the Quidco or Topcashback tracked so I wasn't sure whether that would have nulled the other offer. So far though, both have worked OK. Didn't realise so many were having issues with them so makes me wonder if I'll actually see the extra £30 regardless.
