I've just ordered a pack of 3 reporter's pads for 59p so hopefully the CD player will still be in stock!0
-
Mine arrived today too... tinny sounding speakers, but maybe try some old other ones later....
Lightning quick delivery! My gel pens leave marks on the paper too! :mad:0 -
PS. The ruler is average
ShowoffI ordered a 29p ruler from Staples in October 2004 to come with some free stuff. My order has been sat on their system ever since, and every time I email to complain they never reply, so I just have to draw my lines by freehand

how fab!!
Have been a lurker on MSE for ages and this is my first post! I spotted SS thread on the debtfree wanabe board and have been thinking about a new cd player! So thanks very much... :T
i order my 39p ruler yesterday and my ruler and cd arrived today - the ruler nearly got lost in the huge box tho0 -
yay it's here & it's playing the busted cd i got for ds1's birthday with the £5 voucher (he loves thunderbirds are go!) perfectly adequate for a 4 year old's party!Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0

Mine has just come and I haven't opened the huge box yet. Will do soon though! I was looking for something to replace my borken stereo lol!Waddle you do eh?0

I know it's free but does it play mp3?0

Haha - i was dubious as to whether it would come through based upon my £1.69 purchase of some biros but sure enough my cheapo CD player arrived from Staples this morning!! I did see that other items were cheaper but decided that biros are something i'd probably use more (and I do need some) so...
Well what's it like? The speakers are rubbish. Small, tinny, absolutely rubbish. However, I've plugged in my £18 Tevion portable speakers from Aldi (probably in stock still at your local retailer) and BLAM! - sweet, sweet music!
portable speakers: £18
micro CD player (and pack of biros): £5
A stylish, portable music system for under £25? PRICELESS!
What an absolute bargain. Deserves MSE post of the month for sure!
Great spot, SS. Great spot. :T
(P.S. offer ends tomorrow - Fri 28th - so move swiftly if considering... and, no, it doesn't play mp3 CD-ROMs but for the price i wouldn't expect it to)

I'm really disappointed with the quality of the product. It really isn't worth the money I paid.
39p - for a rubbish ruler!!!!!!!!!!
But the CD player is great, well my three year old likes it anyway.
Cheers OP0
