Easy Thumbnails is around the best freeware app I've found"If you really want to hurt your parents and you don't have nerve enough to be homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts."0

Why not just put them in word, resize them then attach the word doc?
to save space you could also compress the pics within word.:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0 -

Use a pair of scissors or stanley knife but these should only be used under supervision of a sensible adult!0 -

When you installed Irfanview did you set it as your default image editor? If not, right-click on the image file and select 'Open with......' then select Irfanview. When the image opens, from the Irfanview toolbar select 'Image' then 'Resize/Resample' from the dropdown. In the Resize pane that opens you have lots of options. Probably easiest to just click on the default 'Half' button or set the new size as a percentage, e.g. 40%. Once you're done, select File, Save As....., and save the now smaller image under a different name to the original.

not the best solution (i know u suggested it for ease of use) but what if the recipient don't have word (small chance I know). word is terrible at handling graphics at any level really. it ain't built for it.
if u don't have the likes of a photo editoring software such as photoshop, fireworks, paint, etc then follow the advice of the freeware stuffit's a case of having a go and seeing what happens sometimes
if ya get stuck drop me a PM

If you are running Windows XP, Highlight the Photos, Right Click then pick the Send To option, then the Mail Recipient option, this will then ask you if you want to re-size or send the photo "as is".. Keep your Chin up.. it can only get better
