17 mth old washing machine rust spots!!

i have a 17 mth old ariston margherita washing machine. it has been making loud noises when spinning for a couple of weeks but today some of my washing came out with what looks like rust!!!
its out of the quarantee of course but can i still go back to the shop and complain.

I have an Ariston that's around 2 years old. It starting making loud noises when speeding up to spin and when slowing down from spinning. My other half took the lid off the machine to see if he could work out what was going on, but failed miserably.

If you bought your machine from new it should still have 5 years parts warranty covering it. The same as ours. We called up Ariston service (sticker on the front of the machine somewhere) and asked them to come out to look at it. The engineer call out charge is £89.98 (or there abouts), which is very high. However, when he came out to see our machine we were told that it needed a new drum unit. Because of the 5 year parts warranty the part will be free to us.

My advise is to take a close look at your machine.
