Help..with online application please!

Options
Hi trying to do online application and am a little confused about the "unearned income" part. The notes dont have the answer either.

It doesnt state anywhere where I would put CHB and CTC.

Any ideas?

Also will they send me a form to do the childcare grant and parent learning allowance? Have ticked I wanna apply for them!

Thanks

  • don't declare CHB & CTC under unearned income, this is for things like rental income, interest from savings accounts etc.

    PLA is applied for online.

CCG - after you have submitted your online application, you will be asked if you want a CCG1 form sent out to you.

Also one more question if my boyfriend moves in which isnt likely to be until at least Oct/ Nov how quick and easy is it to do a change in circumstances. We will be below the £25,000 threshold. His income is approx 17000 per Annum.

    how old are you?

if you will be under 25 on 1st Sept, your partner's income would not be taken into account unless you're married

if you'll be 25 or over on 1st Sept, your partner will need to complete a PFF1 form which you can download from here and stick a cover note in saying the date he moved in

thank you for the link....sadly Im quite a bit older than 25....(of only life had a rewind and edit button so you could keep the best bits and the wisdom and erase the rest I would glady be 25 again!)

And then, if it's after 1st September that he moves in, a trend assessment should be carried out. But SFE probably don't know how to do that, and ignore the guidance about that.

Thanks Taiko...what is a trend assessment and where can I find the guidance.

Have you had a chance to look at the childcare grant and the revised incomes on the other thread

Ah yes, I did and you'd still be fine for childcare.

It's in an obscure bit of the guidance, that I don't think I'm able to leak out on a public forum. But it does exist.

I've only used it rarely for cases where families have split up i.e. divorce part way through a year. I'll usually just award it as if the partner hadn't moved in, to be honest with you.
