2 fingers to Game - buy Nintendo DS Lite from Comets - a good bundle deal available

I'm now anti-Game :mad: (the internet site)....probably totally unreasonable, but feel as tho they've taken the mick.......so bought my son's DS Lite in Comet this afternoon.

Yes, I know, but having researched the market a bit, I'm amazed that an off-chance visit to Comets would reveal some good bundle deals.

£119.99 gets you the DS Lite plus three games:

- DS Cars;
- DS Sprung; and
- DS Ping Pal

(which suit my son but perhaps not you)?

You could also get the unit plus one game for £109 and the unit only for £99 (which shows no saving on other providers so nowt special).

Some bundles are also available on line and of course, there's the 3% discount via Quidco, for example:

Hope this helps....

    You've spotted a possible online snag...perhaps it's a shop only deal?

    Best NDS deal I have seen is the littlewoods one (I even went for it).

    Site price is £110 but you can use £30 first purchase discount to bring that down to £80. Plus you get quidco.

    When I ordered mine they quoted 4 weeks delivery but it turned up in a week.

    There was also a boots deal knocking around but the discount was given in advantage points (I prefer cold hard cash I can spend anywhere).

    Hi

    Yes, I was put off by the 4-6 week delivery time plus I'm not a new user, so a bit nervous about them reclaiming the code value (as has been reported on here).

    The Boots deal sold out really quickly. Without the triple points, it ain't worth it, plus, I was put off by the fact that it was my wife who'd get the points (her card) and so I'd never actually make the saving!

    Swings and roundabouts I guess?

    Hi baz8755

    Agree that's a great price, trouble is I can't find a code that will apply the £30 discount.:confused:

    How did you get yours, any chance of posting it?

    Thks

    Any codes must be posted on the Discount Codes and Vouchers board, thanks :)

    Don't forget the Toysrus deal too... (Bought one from there about 3 weeks ago)

    DS Lite
    Super Mario (The new game)
    Starter pack
    Plus any £29.99 game (They told me in store it had to be a game at this price)

    Price = £129.99

    Ping Pals isn't a game - its a sort of text messaging thing that communicates between other DS's - however, every DS has a text messaging thing built in called Pictochat. So put Ping Pals straight in the bin...

    Sprung is a "game" in which you play a man seducing a woman, or a woman seducing a man. You just pick replies to their conversation from a list, and if pick the "correct" reply you get on better with each other.

    Admittedly, you've got 3 extras thrown in with your DS - whether they're worth having is a different matter...

    yes, I agree, some games suit some people and others don't....as it happens my young son loves ping pals - it is def more than a chat thing - there are games etc as part of it too.

    it is cheap if you buy it from Comets as a game alone - about a fiver I think?
