10 posts in and I am still none the wiser (well done to dmg on figuring out secondment though!).

I've said it before; she wasted on here.

I still have no idea what is going on with the OP's hubby; If it's not a promotion and was a secondment, then that presumably has come to an end and he goes back to his old job.

Your posts are fine - it is the OP's posts that are unclear. I am still very unsure as to what is going on with his employer and his job. We are still making many assumtions and need more information.

Sorry If I have been unclear, both me and my OH have no clue what is happening. I have spoken to acas and they agree that he is not on secondment, he has the right to take the new position if he wants to or to be made redundant.
My Oh Is having the second interview today so will see what happens.

Thanks for taking the time to read and sorry if I have not explained things very well.

Sometimes things just don't make sense because they can't.
Sometimes companies don't want you to know what is going on or don't know themselves and unless you are up on the rules it is difficult to challenge or get the correct info.

Sometimes someone messes up and is trying to cover themselves.

If it becomes any clearer try another post.
