hi im jamie, im 17 years old and looking to be taking my driving test in the next couple of weeks so i am looking at insurance qoutes, i know that insurance on provisonal is a lot cheaper and i was told by a friend if i where to get insurance on provisonal and then passed my test then i could remain on the same policy for the remainder of the year. i am wondering if this is legal? i have also looked at quotes for myself on a full uk licence on a fiat punto 1.2 51 plate and i have looked on the price comparison sites and some individually such as adrian flux and the best that i have found is £2800, i feel this is realy steep compared to some of the other posts on here and wondered if anyone can help. thanks

not even slightly legal, and i doubt you want a conviction for no insurance when you've only just passed.i have also looked at quotes for myself on a full uk licence on a fiat punto 1.2 51 plate and i have looked on the price comparison sites and some individually such as adrian flux and the best that i have found is £2800, i feel this is realy steep compared to some of the other posts on here and wondered if anyone can help. thanks
