Gas meter problems

Sadly no
If it's less than a metre that it's being moved, and there's no service pipe mods, it's usually free. More than that = £££

Your gas meter does more than record the amount of gas you use it also regulates the gas pressure going into your property so is essential from that point of view alone as if the supply was not regulated you could be at risk.
Of course if you wish to stop using gas then you would need to advise your supplier who would then arrange for the meter to be removed and the service capped, But you would still have a gas pipe going into your property and you would have to contact national grid who own that pipe to either have the pipe removed or the supply capped in street for safety. on 0870 903 9999I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
