hi i was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap external floppy disk drives?
i bought a dell computer which doesnt have one and also i dont think an internal one would do as the card readers in the bit where a floppy normally is.
every one ive seen has been around the £20 mark - is this expensive?
thanks for any help

Since external floppies arent particularly cheap, you have 2 options:
1) buy an internal floppy drive and replace the card reader (do you use the card reader anyway?)
internal floppy drive (aria.co.uk) £4.29
2) if you want to keep the card reader, you cold buy a floppy drive with a built in card reader: aria.co.uk £13.57
for some reason the external floppy drives i could find are a bit overpriced considering how out of date floppies are, so if i were in your position i'd take option 2... unless you dont use your card reader.0 -
You could get a new one from ebay for about £10

lol... go with the ebay one unless you want the card reader + floppy together internally... Aria charge quite a bit for delivery so the internal one would end up costing the same as the one on ebay....
forgot to look at ebay *dur on my part*0 -
thanks guys - i think ill probably go for one from ebay0
