not sure if this is the right place to post as never ventured on this board before but need some advice about my lcd tv. only had it a couple months and cost me nearly a grand and my dd's were squabbling today (2nd day of summer holidays and fighting already!!!!) and one of them has hit the tv with something and its shattered something inside.
the outside screen is intact but when you tirn it on you can see where something has hit the tv and broken off in splinters like if they'd hit a glass window or something and the picture is all red, green and blue lines across it now. i'm guessing i can't claim on the warranty or anything cos its accidental damage and i don't have any home insurance so wondering how much it would cost to repair, or is that impossible???? i could kill them!!!!!!

It will probably cost near the price of the telly to repair unfortunately. If you are going to replace it, CRT's are more robust, much cheaper, and a better picture.

but how would i explain the damage??? its obvious something has hit the screen so can't claim its faulty or anything. got it from a catalogue (freemans discount couple months ago) so don't think they'd take it back cos i don't have an account with them.0 -
