Hi
I have found a lot of the books I am wanting to sell already on sale at abebooks.co.uk. Many of these books are not on amazon, although some a quite new. The only other place to sell is ebay and with thenew charges I dont think it would be worth it as they could take a while to sell.
Is abebooks any good for selling on and does any one have any experience of using them ?
many thanks

Hi cat,
I tried it once, albeit I didn't give it a good try but still, the 2 weeks that I was on there I didn't get a single sale, I had 50 books listed, listing books takes just as long as ebay, and there fees are extremely high. I am sure that some people are successful with it but it wasn't as good as amazon, and you can't just dip in and dip out like with amazon coz you have to pay £30 ish a month to even list with them, you have to basically guarantee that you can sell them before you risk your money, and who wants to do that?! It would not be a good place to sell say 10 books, they recommend at least 200, plus joinging up takes a week at least, they have to ring and talk to you, it is not easy.
Sorry

Thanks for your great advice -I never realised all those pitfalls, just the dear listing fee. I think I will leave it then- just I have some old books with no isbn numbers so It looks like it will be ebay, although their shop fees are about to increase so eek !! .0
