Fault with Panasonic VIDEO CAMERA

Hi

I have a panasonic mini dv camera, which refuses to play tapes, and comes up with the fault code F1 and sometimes F2.
Can anyone help, please??

stab in the dark, but have you tried cleaning the heads with a cleaning tape? The manual may list the error codes. which model?
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
  • It is a DX100 3 ccd.
Don't think that a cleaning tape would work, as it plays tape for a second or two and then stops.
Has anyone got any other suggerstions, please?

A google came up with this:

    http://www.grovefarm.force9.co.uk/

Look under emergency error codes & faults.

Gives F01 - No Take-Up reel rotation F02 - No Supply Reel rotation

Don't know if it helps much.
