Just married - passport question

My daughter is getting married on 4th August in Gibraltar so will be travelling home on her current passport in her maiden name however they are leaving to live in the Cayman Islands on 18th August and her work is sorting out her visa.
We don't think the visa will be in her married name (as they don't know it) so she isn't sure what to do about her passport. To change it would mean sitting for a day for a personal appointment in the Liverpool Office but she doesn't know if she can change it in the Cayman's - at the embassy for example.
Any helpful comments or tips welcome!

There is no embassy or high commission, as the Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Dependent Territory.RIP independent MSE.
