2nd electric and gas bill arrived

I phoned them and waited in the queue for ages - nearly gave up but then someone answered

I explained it to him, he put me on hold and then said he had cleared them and I would receive another bill with a zero balance

I asked him why I had been sent these amended bills he said it was something to do with final catchup readings(?)

So he said I didn't owe them anything and hopefully that is the end of it!
