CSA What does not workable mean please??

Thankyou!! I have tried calling him on many occasions but, it was him that told me to "go to CSA if you wanna get a penny for the children!"
He still has money that belongs to the children from a relative (they sent their birthday and Christmas money to my ex thinking he was in regular contact!-have now told the relative the situation as I am sick of covering for him and people wondering why my children havent thanked them for their money) I have provided evey detail possible and this is why I cannot understand why its not being dealt with by now. I wonder if he has any idea how serious this is turning out to be--the fact he is working full time (definitely) and not letting Inland Revenue know.
After calling them yesterday again, I was told I should have a call next Wednesday as they have sent it to their back?? office?? If no call is received, I am to call them Fri(I have ,again, taken the name and extension ).
I apologise if I seem to be repeating myself but, I really thought I was doing the right thing going through the CSA but, it looks now like I am going to have to take it further--I feel I have no choice. By 2 1/2 years, I thought this would`ve all been sorted long ago but, it seems like its just starting.....
All help is much appreciated. Thankyou.0 -
Have they said that they have spoken to him on the phone? I know they rang my ex and then sent out the paperwork etc.
That way he can't really get out of giving them a secure address or whatever its called.... Its a headbanging situation isn't it?!!
Keep at it tho!Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
Unforunately Marbles it probably IS just starting. The issue has been (or so it seems) that the CSA has been snowed under with their own beaurocracy and is only just getting around to understanding that SOME NRP's know how to play the system, and will lie through their back teeth.
Finally after asking for yet another calculation, and my case going clerical, I have an officer who rang my ex, and had a long conversation with him, but didnt believe a word he said so has referred it on. I already know it will take some time because he lied the last time they did an assesment but now it has gone to criminal compliance so it will all catch up with him (I need a yes! smiley here lol!)
My advice is to keep a writen account of all the conversations that you have with them, and being honest just keep on at them. Eventually, whether its because it gets through to someone who can or whether it is a matter of time you will get something done. No help I realise but if there are arrears he will (or the CSA will if it is their error) have to pay them back to you when the dust settles, regardless of the age of the children. Ask for copies of your file regularly to ensure that the information on there is correct - I have only discovered that my lovely ex told the CSA that he was apparently giving me £700 a month, so they closed my case without checking that really was the case.........unfortunately its a case of checking what they think is right, and no he wasnt at the time I was getting nothing from him
As an organisation that is there for the children, as the PWC you have to monitor them to ensure that you are getting what you are due. There are lots of people on here PWC and NRP who can all give advice, so get yourself sitting comfortably because as we are all aware, you are in it for the long haul

Well, all I can say is, Thankyou so much to all of you for taking the time to reply. I understand this isnt an easy subject for any of us. I have yet to hear from someone who says they loved the quick response they received from the CSA! lol
This site is soooooo good for off-loading all my CSA frustration!!! I wonder sometimes if Im too polite when I call them but, I believe its a case of staying calm, remaining polite and hoping the person on the phone really does do what they said they would when the call comes to an end..........
Ahhh Well, its Mothers Day tomorrow which makes everything along the way all worthwhile.:D:D
Thankyou everyone.0 -

Thing is Marbles, its not usually the people on the end of the phone that are at fault - they are just implementing the madness that has been imposed by the child support act. In my experience I have found that the majority of people I speak to on the end of the phone have been just as frustrated at their inability to do something meaningful as I am, in fact one officer told me catagorically to appeal, then told me it WOULD fail but then at least I could go to a tribunal - how mad is that!! In my experience it only seems to be with the most recent revisions to the CS act that they now have the tools to be able to enforce some of the maintenance due - just as they have been told they are not fit for purpose. We have a case on CS1, and CS2 and another case on CS1 that should never have been closed but in all of that and despite some of the horrific mistakes that have been made on the way, in all honesty its the people in parliament that I hold accountable. Had any of the MP's actually looked at what was workable and had any of them taken best practice from around the world then we would have had a system like the Australian one, where everyone knew what they had to pay and the children had to see both parents except in exceptional circumstances.

Thankyou everyone.
It does being honest
