laminate flooring vs wooden effect vinyl

I'd never have believed it if I'd not seen it. That looks lovely. The stuff I remember from the 70s was .I have the wood-effect vinyl in my kitchen-diner and hall. It looks very much like real wooden floorboards.
The main advantage is that it is not slippery like most laminates.
The only disadvantage is that it is actually textured, like wood, so it needs an occasional scrub to get grime out of the grain!
Re laminate though, it can be warm and quiet with a very good underlay. That's what we have downstairs and I really like it. It's a doddle to clean too.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
