is your DMP with one of the debt charities or a self managed one?
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
  • sorry its with payplan x

    Hi funky

have they rejected the 'proper' offer (ie the amount payplan should have paid) or did they reject the lower amount payplan paid instead?

Have payplan explained why they paid too little?

    ^^

Apologies but, what does that mean? (That wasn't said in an aggressive voice, btw).

Barclaycard are wanting me to use someone for a DMP rather than me doing one myself - anyhow, Payplan were going to be my choice (tried CCCS and wasn't too impressed). Don't want to go into the ins and outs as someone else's thread.

Back on thread, are you saying that Payplan don't pay 100% of what you pay them onto your creditors?
  • they have rejected the wrong amount so the £274 in total instead of the £319 apparently it was just down to an error on payplan system that it went out for the wrong amount. Payplan have now re sent new offers but she said that MBNA wont accept it & its just waiting to see if the other 4 do. Im just worried if they all say no to it whats our next step. I Asked the lady at payplan & she said theres not a lot we can do other than keep sending the amounts. hmmmmph!!x

hi deep in debt, i have had no end of problems with payplan so far, they should send 100% but in my case due to a system error they sent a random ammount & some of my creditors have rejected it. x

No Payplan don't charge fees - but they messed up funky's payments somehow so didn't make the right payments.

Actually creditors often do refuse to accept the offers but if you keep on paying they will also sometimes let things carry on for a while without doing anything further (well other than default you but that will happen anyway).

The alternative could be that they attempt to get a CCJ against you - this can happen on a DMP. If you get court papers never just send the straight to Payplan (or any DMP provider) as they will just admit the debt, come on here for advice in filing your own response (it might not happen, I just want to warn you).

However as quite a large number of your creditors have rejected could it be that they think that your expenditure in any area is excessive? (Just wondering thats all?)

  • Thanks Trixy, there is nothing at all on our expenditure that is excessive everything falls in their guidelines apparently & we dont have anything that would be seen as a luxury. The only thing perhaps is petrol for £120 a month but my partner works away so even that much has seen us out of pocket already this month and its only the 11th. :( poop. hope we dont get 6 ccjs lol x
