At Tesco Leicester - Hamilton today i was refused a manufacturer 20p off coupon coupon on a £20 shop. The lady at the till said it is because i have not purchased the item. Also went on to say i know we used to accept them on anything but the policy now is you must buy the item. I hope its not true but im starting to believe her because she seemed like she was on the lookout for coupon abuse as she told me i had not bought the item before she even had a proper look at it or when was in my shopping! Very sharp!

Feel like i have lost all confidence in this form of money saving as this is only the third time ever i have tried to use a coupon - the previous two also being 20p ones!!!!!

BTW used the max power one on the ASDA self scan to buy a copy of..... max power. Machine did not ask me to insert coupon.

Did anyone have trouble scanning this coupon? It seems quite poor resolution (or is it my printer?). Anyway, it wouldn't scan for me so I quickly used a different coupon not wanting to draw too much attention!

my coupon scanned fine, the barcode looks better if you print it in black and white only.

I printed it in colour and although it looked a bit blurred, it scanned fine on self-scan in Asda.
