Photo Printers - A3 and A3+

I'm looking for advice on photo printers. I want to print high quality, and possibly A3 or A3+, but of course I want to do this as cheaply as possible!

So, has anyone any experience of this? Is there a particular printer you could recommend? Any comments on ink and paper? Could I use non-branded or should I stick with named brands for the quality?

Any help and advice, including your own experiences good or bad appreciated.

The Epson Stylus Photo R1800 is the best A3 photo printer I know of (before getting into the true professional equipment range). It certainly produces better quality prints when you go with their own brand of paper - if you shop around you can often get very good prices for it too - WH Smiths had a buy one get one free and 1/2 price sale (so effectively only paying 1/4 the normal price) a while back so I stocked up

Epson do do some printers both intended for home and those for professional printing that can do larger than A3 but
