Returned Misdescribed Item Back But Still No Refund

i bought an item which was a Pucci Candy Floss Dog Lead (i have the collar and was looking for the matching lead) the seller sent sent me something completely different, it was a similar dog lead but not Pucci (as all their stuff is leather and stamped with their name on the inside) and it was dark pink and the one pictured was baby pink to match the collar that i already have

the seller said i could return it and she would refund me which i did by recorded delivery last wednesday and i checked and she recieved it on friday, and now 4 days later still no refund i know shes been on ebay as shes leaving feedback and bidding on items shes just ignoring my emails

i have opened up the paypal dispute thing but havent escalated it to a claim yet what else can i do?

would the police get involved as she has my money and the signifcantly misdescribed item

When you esculate it to a claim you will get your money back. If she does not repond to the the process, wait until it is all over and then neg her.

If you really want to take it further you could claim in the small claims court. You won't get anywhere with the police as this would be considered a civil matter.

How much was it in the end? I would contact the seller and tell her that unless I recieve the refund by the end of tomorrow I would be filing a dispute with paypal for all charges back!

But that will surely be dependent on whether the amount was charged to the credit card through paypal?

it was bank balance not card... but have managed to get her to refund me...she reckoned she forgot !!! funny how she only started emailing me after i opened the paypal dispute
