My son just bought this. It came on Saturday and seems very good - carved well and bread knife is good too

He says they rotate the offers. His friend got the oriental set a few months back.

Its free because it would be £135 if the knives were not free.

What you mean to say is....

Thank you for letting us know, you do have to pay p&p though so it should be posted under the 'shop but dont drop' forum but thanks for taking to time to post.

Sounds a lot nicer that way doesn't it??

Just a gentle warning - this company have had a number of claims upheld against them by the Advertising Standards authority because the sets that they offer 'worth £x amount' are rarely, if at all, sold anywhere at the full price, and some of their claims about the quality of the products are a bit dubious.

I have seen similar offers in a cookware shop at a local 'designer outlet' mall.

Having said all that, my dad bought a similar set by the same company a few years ago and they were reasonable enough quality... probably better than most you would buy for £10 on the High Street.

The knives are a bargain at £9.95. Got them myself, little scary though, one looks like a machetti! Doubt anyone, like the above poster states would pay £125 for them though, but they do look a bit upper class.
  • Well worth it if ya stick em on ebay and charge £10P&P onto a winner

When i got to buy it, it comes to £135 with postage.

Do you need a voucher code or something?
  • Also being a bit sceptical about the RRP, I did a quick search and found this forum with several disgruntled customers:

    http://www.uktvfood.co.uk/index.cfm?uktv=messageboards.thread&threadid=10598

Poor quality, slow service, unhelpful customer services, items rusting and, as annie-c says, false advertising; all noted alongside "happy with mine" posts. I think I'll give the offer a miss but I hope anyone who buys gets a bargain nevertheless.
