Quality USB speakers - recommendations?

I don't want powered speakers for my PC and the pair of USB speakers I have at the moment are pretty tinny in tone.
Can anyone recommend speakers which might have more bass and better sound quality generally?

Bearing in mind that I'm talking of table top minispeakers here, I'd not be wanting to pay more than £50.0

The problem is that usb provides limited power so your always going to have low power (0.5-2 watt at a guess) speakers which aren't likely to sound too good.0
