Review a dentist sites?

Has anyone found a site that reviews dentists/surgeries in regions for UK?

Just wondered as have had bad experience with recent one and would hope to find info on others before registering again.

Had a search but not found anything apt; just individual experiences without naming anyone or the area.

Find ratings for lecturers/hoteliers/shops/MPs etc....so why not health professionals?

Been using NHS and would prefer to remain under similar.

Oh well.........will see if anything turns up.

Anyone would be mad to set up (or post on) such a site - the potential for litigation is massive!

Why not ask friends for recommendations?

Dont you just find with all these sites you get bad reviews from folks who are unhappy and great reviews from people who are probably related to the folks in question, the vast majority of satisfied customers have better things to do than go to random rating sites.
I personally have never agreed with any review of any hotel site when I have been to stay, but my wife always checks the reviews regardless.
With regard to healthcare you are much better off speaking to someone who has been there personally. That way you have a better chance of judging where they are coming from. For example I know someone who wants to have all their teeth out and dentures, because they think it will be easiest way to get straight teeth, and she doesnt want to go down the more conventional routes
Oddly enough she is struggling to find someone to do it. Mainly because we know what a huge mistake it would probably be, false teeth are never going to be as satisfactory as real ones.
The upshot is that in her eyes we are all charlatans who just want her to keep her teeth so we can make more money out of her.
An extreme example but I use it just to illustrate my point.
Speak to your friends, neighbours, work colleagues etc, there is a lot of nonsense on the net
Who knows, even the paragraphs above might be worthless :cool:;)
