Eilat - Israel

I havent been for years - and want to go back.

BTW Eilat is quite safe - there has never been a bomb there and is well away from the troubles in Gaza, etc.

Ive done a bit of research - and I can only find 2 options for going in November.

1. longwoodholidays - they seem ok but a bit expensive. Ive used them before but they rarely do discount or deals to eilat.

2. book flight and hotel seperatly. Eg, book a flight with EL AL and a hotel on the net. However, seperate flights are expensive.
And i still need to get down from tel aviv.

so can anyone help.

im after a few more options really on getting to Eilat cheaply.

anyone else fly their? or offer packages?

Always the option to book a cheap flight to the new Taba airport and go across the boarder, but the immigration at the boarder especially if your entering Israel can be very time consuming.

Any help is appreciated.

Try teletext for some last minute bargains, the nervous will either cancel or postpone their trips to Israel. I lived out there for a year during the 1st Gulf War, I have fond memories of sitting on the top of a bomb shelter, with a beer in one hand watching the scuds fly over the border.
In Eilat you will be safer than you would be on a night out in leeds
Enjoy an ice cold Goldstar and falafel, Also you can get cheap internal flights from Tel Aviv to Eilat £30-50 RTN

I can certainly agree about the radar checks. It is very tempting to go faster and faster on the (seemingly empty) road through the desert.

Have you looked at https://www.arkia.co.il? They fly from Sde Dov (small airport in Tel Aviv) to Eilat for +/- £75. Not too bad...
