Given that the car was parked, it's highly unlikely that liability will be disputed, so it's safe to sign the statement.
I recently had to sign one of these hire agreements and it's a pretty standard clause that means that in theory, you would be liable if the insurers told you to !!!!!! off. In practice, the third party insurer usually accepts liability if their client hit a stationary car. I signed my document without a problem and the insurer sorted out all my repairs and covered the cost of the hire.
I hope it all works out for you.0 -
I know exactly how you feel - the transposing of signature seems to be the norm for these people - in fact I was so aeriated with them that I wrote to the CEO which in fact was a total waste of time. They are the most irritating company to deal with and when they want something from YOU they telephone, then email then send a hard copy but everything takes forever. You need first to get a response to your letter and I would then suggest you get back on to this forum but under 'insurance' where there have been quite a few Drive Assist entries. I found this website and forum indispensable in helping me. There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable contributors (and one in particular) who helped me tremendously with my huge upset with DA.0

The other Insurer is probably disputing the credit hire charges or sometimes they just make the credit hire company wait and wait on purpose.
What are the expenses you are claiming0 -
its my ins excess and some personal items which were destroyed in the crash, its just taking soooooo long, they paid out prompt for the car and drive assist s car rental ,i was wondering if they would give me the ins companys details so i could find out first hand what the problem is,every time you phone its the same old story, were waiting on a response..0

Ask them for the contact details and ring the other insurer, be polite and advise them of the delays you have experienced. Ask the claims handler to help you out and a lot will if you are polite0
