Hello fellow money savers,
Not sure if this is in the right place, if it isn't please feel free to move it.
Here's the story:
I bought two Activity Superstore vouchers for driving an Aston Martin in July 09. I've bought one before and it gave 12months to the expiration date. However, just had a look at my voucher and it says expiry Dec 09.
They cost a bomb, and was my present to myself for when I graduate in May. I did speak to someone about it, before I booked it asking if it was valid for 12months and they said yes, book it online.
What I want to know is... If they don't extend it for me, would I be entitled to get my bank on it. I bank with Lloyds and paid on a Visa Debit.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You get less protection using a debit card compared to a credit card. Visa does have something called chargeback which, unlike with credit cards, doesn't have the weight of the law behind it. I don't think you'd be able to use it though as it appears you can only use it "if the goods and services you bought with your card are faulty or if they do not materialise". More info' here.
You really should have checked the expiry date when you received them.
edit: Don't know if you've read the T&Cs here. It states vouchers are valid for 9 months and can even be extended for an extra 6 months at request (£15 charge) provided you request an extension whilst the voucher is still valid.0 -
yeah true, however in that case, there has been a mistake cos my voucher was only valid for 6 months, therefore it was misold to me.....
if that was the case I wouldn't mind spending an extra £15 to extend it.
Thanks though

You were given incorrect information at the time of purchase, and so might have some redress from standard consumer protection (a voucher that expired in December 2009 is not fit for the purpose of giving yourself a treat in May 2010).0
