Conservatory Heating

How do you heat your conservatory? We currently have slimline wall heaters but these have very little effect. My OH has been researching cast iron log fires and seems very taken with these. Has anyone got these and what do you think of them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We have 2 large double radiators in ours. They seem to work very well. I presume you're refering to a log burner? If so you would need a flue. My brother has a log burner in his sitting room and it is extremely effective.0

A wood burning stove in a conservatory? Interesting concept. Not sure how that would work with building regs? Is it possible?
Wood burning stoves are very nice, but no so cheap to run by all accounts. Linking the heating in to an existing central heating system would be the easiest way to go.0 -
Could try a heater that runs on butane gas bottles.0

We have a delonghi convector heater and a small fan heater for our feet as it gets warm from the knees up! We have also laid another layer of lino over the old one and it seems to work. Wish we had put in central heating, bit late after we had it built!
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,

conservatorys shouldn't realy be heated all that glass makes them loose heat like nobodies business. In colder weather there better off used as a buffer between the indoor and out door weather.0

Wall mounted heat pump/air condiioning type units are pretty effective for conservatories as you can cool them in summer as well
As others have said (search on here for your query aswell) unless your conservatory is all singing and dancing latest high spec glass it will be difficult to keep as warm as the rest of your house and will cost more to do so0 -
Underfloor heating here too.
Trying to become debt free but this site makes me spend a fortune!!!
