hi there i wonder if anybody can help me. My mother died in 2002 and recently i was going through my dads paper work with him and came across some old bank statements, i noticed that he made a payment shortly after my mum passed away to Barclaycard, which i guess was to pay off her balance. should the PPI have covered the balance on her card as I know she would have been paying PPI (does PPI cover death?). Would my father be able to reclaim what he paid to clear the balance?
Thank you
Thank you

Hi and welcome.
Am so so sorry to hear about your mum.
I believe that if your mum was paying out for PPI, then this should have also paid out, I would try to get hold of the policy details if you can, they should be able to provide them on request.
Or call into the branch.
If your mum was mis sold then in this case I would personally contact your local CAB to see if they can help in any way, they so tend to have free solicitors on certain days, or your dad maybe able to deal with this through legal aid, again the CAB would check this out for you.
Maybe someone who have been in the same position will post up with some help for you on this one.
Wishing you luck and please keep us posted on this, of course please ask for help when you require this.;)
